モンテカルロラリー 次は52号車です！
2009 年 6 月 2 日 火曜日引き続きヘリテイジモーターセンターです＾＾ 今回は展示されていた５２号車です。

最後に、説明書きがあったので、合わせて掲載しておきますね。 1964 MORRIS Mini Cooper S Outright winner 1965 Monte Carlo Rally For the 1965 rally, BMC's competitions department prepared a team of the ner 1275 cc Mini-Cooper S models, including AJB 44B. Between June 1964 and January 1965 it was not very successful but finally came through with an outright victory in the 1965 Monte Carlo Rally with 'the Flying Finn' Timo Makinen and Paul Easter as the crew. The 1965 Monte was one of the most difficult on record, with blizzard conditions between Chambery and Monte Carlo. In spite of this, Makinen's car completed the route with only one lateness penalty on the road sections , caused by a minor electrical failure in the ignition system. On the run from starting points to Monte Carlo, AJB 44B was the only unpenalised car. On this occasion, the Mini-Cooper S ran in Group 3 guise, which meant that it was substantially non-standard, with lightened and simplified body fittings and a highly-tuned engine. （ヘリテイジモーターセンターの説明文より引用）
